Guangzhou International Medicine Port

Recently, Reset Urban Design has been working with the Guangzhou Urban Planning & Design Survey Research Institute (GZPI) by developing a concept urban design strategy for the proposed 78 hectare Guangzhou International Medicine Port development. This massive brownfields development, on the edge of the Pearl River, includes excavating a 38 hectare harbour creating a long waterfront edge, islands and marinas and a beach with backing of a collection of residential, retail, office and research buildings from 100m to 250m high. Our development strategies cover three key areas: Future use of the Harbour’s water area; Waterfront Public Space Strategy; and, Built Form Strategy.
