The Auckland Plan

The Blueprint for Auckland’s Future

The Auckland Plan is the key blueprint for Auckland’s future development over the next 30 years and follows a strategic spatial plan approach. The plan seeks to integrate the full range of elements, including land-use, growth, economic, social, environmental significance and infrastructure. It is the first spatial plan for the recently amalgamated Auckland region and is eagerly awaited by all involved in the planning and implementation of New Zealand’s largest city, including central government and funding agencies.  The Auckland Plan is driven by Mayor Len Brown’s vision of Auckland being “the most liveable city in the world”.  Reset Urban Design were engaged by Auckland Council as a ‘critical friend’ working closely with the internal Council team on the process and content, assisting with workshops and also producing the summary maps and much of the graphic material.
