A Community driven project, to enhance the outdoor area of Te Atamira.
In 2023 Reset was approached by Olivia Egerton, director of Te Atamira to help with an outdoor space, located in Remarkables Park Town Centre, the landlord had kindly given approval for utilizing in a way which would contribute to providing a safe space to hang out, a space which would align to the visions of Te Atamira.
Director Linda Joll confirmed this project would slot in with the values of Reset to aid the building of community project, spatial designer Sophie Roberts from the Reset team joined in to create a concept plan for Te Atamira outdoor space.
2025 November 9 will be the official opening of this highly valued outdoor community space which provides Harakeke for weaving, a safe hang out for the students of Whakatipu College to come to in their free time, a pump track for little ones to learn to ride, sculpture in the garden, this has all come about thru volunteering and community contributions.
This wasteland space has now been transformed into a community space to sit, play, ponder, dance, kōrero, a space alive with community spirit, Reset is so pleased to have been able to be of assistance with this project.
